Elgin Cares is an initiative of the Elgin Human Services Council (EHSC), a coalition over 20+ social service agencies in Elgin, Illinois. Elgin Cares promotes individual, family, & community wellness through tools, resources, & opportunities.

Our Passions

  • We strive for awareness of issues in the community that impact regional service providers and those we support on the local, state, and federal levels. We hope to better advocate for Elgin and mobilize for collective actions.

  • We work to deliver consistent support and content centered around the topic of equity and racial justice. We strive to create and sustain a more equitable and inclusive community through education, training, and everyday conversation. Our team has organized an Equity Statement and we have organized the Social Justice Handbook for our partners to utilize free of charge.

  • We aim to develop resources and content to create a more connected Elgin, coming together to solve problems. Through providing opportunities for connection, we hope more and more people in Elgin become actively involved in the community together.
